Ashley Hunker

Jazz and Tap

Ashley Hunker received her Bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University where she danced with the University’s pre-professional dance company.

She currently is on faculty at the Toledo School for the Arts where she works with young aspiring dance students. Her choreography at TSA creatively encourages students to become comfortable with movement that bends the laws of gravity.

Her early training in jazz, tap, and acrobatics was in her hometown near Cincinnati, Ohio. She has studied Modern, Korean Dance, and Balinese Dance at Bowling Green State University where she also performed in Musical Theatre productions.

She has a strong background in acrobatic dance and is the director of a competitive acrobatic dance company; she is inspired to create “limitless movement which allows students to break the confines of conventional dance.”
