School of Music Policies
The School of Music does NOT follow local school district schedules. The School of Music lessons have their own schedule. In general, School of Music lessons are every week.
There are no lessons on the following holidays:
- New Year's Eve
- New Year's Day
- Memorial Day
- Fourth of July
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Eve
- Christmas Day
No lessons are scheduled on Sundays.
If for some reason an individual teacher needs to cancel lessons, you will be notified by either the teacher at the previous leson or contacted by RRCA staff. If you have paid fo rhtat lesson, you will receive a credit applied to the next month's lessons.
If for some reason you must cancel a lesson, you must give at least 24 hours notice of cancellation. You either inform the teacher at the previous week's lesson or call the RRCA at (734) 242-7722 and leave a message. If you do not give at least 24 hours notice, you will be expected to pay the full price for the missed lesson. Teachers are paid for lessons cancelled without 24 hours notice.
Because our lessons are provided in a facility with numerous performances occurring, we from time to time must cancel lessons on individual days to accommodate space and sound requirements fo rhte performances. You will receive notification and a credit applied to the next month's tuition for any cancelled lessons due to performance conflicts.
All lessons monies are to be paid on a monthly basis. Tuition is due on the first lesson of each month. Please remember some months will have four lessons and some months five. If your lesson falls on an off-holiday, or there is a scheduling conflict you are aware of for that month, you will not have to pay for that lesson at the beginning of the month. Just notify us at that time of your need to cancel a particular lesson day.
Any questions about making payments or any balances owed should be directed to the RRCA Box Office. The teacher does not know the specifics of account balances. That is handled throught the box office. If you ever wish to talk to me directly to answer any questions, please call (734) 242-7722 and I will be glad to answer any questions you may have.
