River Raisin
Rock ACADEMY
The River Raisin Rock Academy gives aspiring musicians the opportunity to learn, collaborate, and perform in a real rock band setting. Students receive instruction on drums, guitar, bass guitar, piano, and vocals while developing essential musicianship, teamwork, and performance skills.

Through guided rehearsals, students will learn and perform multiple rock songs, gaining confidence both individually and as part of a band. Whether you're just starting out or looking to take your skills to the next level, the Rock Academy provides a fun, supportive environment where students can grow as musicians.

The session culminates with a live performance at the River Raisin Centre for the Arts, giving students the exciting experience of showcasing their hard work on stage before a live audience.

Class information
Open to students 18 and under, the River Raisin Rock Academy features 8-week fall, spring, and summer sessions where students learn, collaborate, and perform in a real rock band while receiving instruction in drums, guitar, bass guitar, piano, and vocals.

Beginner Session
Perfect for students who are new to their instrument or new to playing in a band. Participants will learn the fundamentals of drums, guitar, piano, or vocals while exploring and performing multiple rock songs. Students will build confidence, develop musicianship, and learn how to collaborate with fellow band members in a fun and supportive environment.

Fall Session Dates: Sundays: September 13 – November 1, 2026
Time: 1:00 - 3:00 pm
Length: 8 Weeks
Instruments: Drums, Guitar, Bass Guitar, Piano, and Vocals
Ages:18 and under

Intermediate/Advanced Session
Designed for experienced musicians looking to elevate their skills. Students will refine their technique, strengthen their stage presence, and collaborate with fellow performers while learning and performing multiple rock songs. Participants will gain valuable ensemble experience and enhance their performance abilities in a dynamic rock band setting.

Fall Session Dates: Sundays: September 13 – November 1, 2026
Time: 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Length: 8 Weeks
Instruments: Drums, Guitar, Bass Guitar., Piano, and Vocals
Ages: 18 and under
